Russian offshore Energy authority Sakhalin Energy has begun its annual maintenance program at its largest oil and gas production platform, PA-B. The campaign can be assumed to last for a month that is the last of this month June.
The company has planned to perform An annual Exclusion of the hydrocarbon multiplies flows expression vessels. this programme will also include maintenance of two gas compressors and a gearbox inspection and a ton of other tasks.
According to the company, around 250 people will take part in these turnaround activities.
The PA-B platform is located about 7.5 miles offshore from the north eastern Sakhalin and is at a depth of 105 feet down the water level.
The platform has been producing oil and gas since late 2008, and the area concerned with the platform is the Pilton area of the Pilton-Astokhskoye field. The produced gas and oil output is transported via the TransSakhalin pipe system and it gets transferred to several LNG plants and oil export terminals at the Prigorodnoye production complex.
Sakhalin Energy holds a record volume of LNG in 2020. It holds a record 11.6 million tons of LNG production in 2020. The consumers of this particular company include major countries of Asia Pacific namely Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China.
